Easter Egg Decorating Ideas!
Now that your eggs are all ready to go, time to decorate! I love marbleized, golden, glittered and even plain pastel decor with little embellishments. How do you marbleize an egg? Well you can probably go to marthastewart.com and watch the master at work but I can give you a quick rundown on an inexpensive way to get the look.
Marbleized Egg:
In a small glass bowl, combine 3 cups warm water, 2 tablespoons vinegar, and a few drops of food coloring. Place egg in dye, and leave it completely under until it turns the color you desire. In a wide, shallow glass rectangle pan, prepare 2 cups of warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Put dots of different color food coloring dyes in different areas. Attach a little stick with floral clay to the bottom of your egg. Roll your egg from one end of the pan to the end. Then clean off on cool water and allow to dry. Voila! A Masterpiece! Another option, via Ms. Martha Stewart, which uses methylcellulose and acrylic paint, can be found by clicking on this link.
This Easter, why not make it a CHOCOLATE bunny or a cuddly stuffed toy instead? Let’s make it a Happy Easter for bunnies, too. Help spread the word that rabbits are NOT disposable pets. Get more information at www.makeminechocolate.org
